While you might not know his face, if you’ve driven down Walnut you’ve probably seen Francisco Arteaga’s bright yellow jacket and stop sign. Arteaga works as the crossing guard on Walnut Street, assisting students and staff with the sometimes heavy traffic flow. He is well-known by the students for having an effervescent attitude and smile on his face. On October 4th, it was Arteaga’s birthday and he was showered with gifts and acknowledgment from the Chapman students and community.

We at Neighbors of Chapman wanted to acknowledge Francisco’s dedication to the Chapman as well as give our thanks for keeping the traffic moving and the students safe! Check out

the story on Arteaga
and wonderful manner in which he carries himself every single day.
